Sun BINGO! Yes. It was me. I'm the monster behind these. Well, 23 out of 25 of them.
Back in 2015 Sun BINGO! was paper based, until it was dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. This campaign helped put it firmly on the online and app map, and firmly in the mid-morning ad spots. Not sure how we got away with these Minions... err, I mean Bingo Characters, but we did. We grew market share massively, and picked a few awards along the way.

Before ballsing-up Sun BINGO! we did a few ads featuring real people who had to face surreal consequences as a result of winning a game.
I preferred this approach, as the humour was more my cup of tea, as were the practical effects. But, budget is always king, so CGI won out. And it turned out the people who played Sun BINGO! preferred the balls anyway. Kerching!

Sun BETS
Everyone loves a flutter on the nags. And Sun BETS announced its arrival on the betting scene with great fanfare at the Cheltenham Festival.
As you'd expect from The Sun, they pulled out all of the stops to get some famous faces down and drum up even more interest in those all-important sign-up offers, and to let their pals know they were having a #Chelterbelter with Sun BETS.
And of course, the TOV was unmistakably The Sun. Cheeky banter, puns as far as the eye could see, and some good old-fashioned irreverent humour...

Cheeky Little Punt
Meet The Sun's Cheeky Little Punt. The face of Sun BETS, this full of fun fella was the vehicle to bring a bit of humour and some great offers to sports betting fans across the UK. From The Grand National, to the Champions League and even the darts, there's no place we couldn't use him as a vehicle to build the brand and market share.
